Ok not a honda owner, but I am gonna say no.

main reason.
GSR is a DOHC motor. Your D16 is a single cam so your ECU is looking for parts that aren't even there. So it will go into freak out mode and you won't see crap.

Solution: put in a gsr motor. I know sounds crazy, but I bet they are cheaper now that a lot of people are doing k-series stuff.

Am I wrong my honda friends? I don't know much, but I think what I said is right.

You can as long as it's OBD2B, but it's pointless. You're going to be throwing codes for various stuff and you're going to be screwing with the ignition timing and fuel maps. You're better off just sticking with what you have until you have performance parts enough to need an upgrade (not talking basic bolt-ons either).

Wont gain anything from switching ecu's, it'll just hurt you.
Do you have any mods done to the engine yet? Your best bet is to do an obd1 conversion with a chipped ecu and tune it for the mods you have..then you'll see a difference.

The reason of changing the ecu in the first place is because the one you have either cant handle mods or isnt tunable, but if you have a stock car theres no point to change the ecu. please correct me if im wrong!:)
