I have a 92 accord ex w/H22a motor. I was looking into turboing it, but I have been informed that H22s arent good for turboing and often the motor will break. Has anyone turboed an h22 and how has it turned out? any suggestions for me? I might just go N/A. |

Any engine will break if it's put under enough stress. It's just one of those BS things that gets passed around the internet. Most people use the excuse that the sleeves are very weak (because they're made of a different material), but the truth is that they are actually stronger than even B-series sleeves. Do a compression and leakdown test on the engine, to make sure it's healthy enough to handle the boost. Then run low boost and get it properly tuned; for maximum power and reliability. But Doctor H has a turbo'd h22a , you should talk to him and he'll tell you the issues he's run into. |

^^^he's correct. I have been lookin up a lot of info in regards to b00sting my h22a. I plan on re-sleeving it just top be safe as well as building the bottom and head to allow MORE boost. |

dontblink and 10secondsorbust built a big hp Accord wagon with a built H. Last I heard it had problems holding trannies together. Hopefully one of them will chime in on this thread. |

guy I bought it from said it was, and he also said it had wiseco pistons and performance valve springs and 5 way valve job. He didnt have reciepts or anyhting to prove it and It ran 183 hp on the dyno, so I think hes b/s and skunk knew him and said it didnt have anything done in the motor. If the motor was built I would definately turbo it, the previous owner was going to turbo it if no one bought it. Thanks for your imput guys, how much do you think to resleeve? |

your looking at 800-1300 dollars for a machine shop in to sleeve and install pistons rods hot tank the block new seals gaskets oilpump is needed mine went at the end of the season so |
