the loud buzzing from the main relay is usually a bad ground.
as for the reverse lights, there might be a short somewhere, or its just wired wrong from the previous owner or something?

Maybe pinched reverse the wires in the bell housing? It is also possible that you have a bent or mis installed clutch fork.
