I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

Wiring up vtec isn't a pain at all. Just make sure you have 2 pins to use for the ecu, and some wire. Take a metal coat hanger, tape the 2 wires to the end, and thread it through the firewall where the other harness wires are and pin it into the ecu. Or if you use the Z6 engine harness, just find the matching pins on the passenger side shock tower mount plug and then run the wires from that to the ecu. This is a good site for the ecu pins, opening the ecu plug to put in the pins, and what wires to match up on the shock tower mount if you use an Si/EX harness: http://technet.ff-squad.com/

The stock axles will go right in, there's no difference unless you had a car with ABS (which you don't have to worry about). And for the clutch & flywheel, all the '92-'00 D-series are the same.

awesome, unfortunately i sold the wire harness on ebay. I didn't plan on keeping the motor. so that I will have to score somewhere unless of course the d15 one plugs up. I'd like to get a new clutch and flywheel anyway.

thanks for all the help!!

The CX harness will work fine. If you have a 1 wire O2 sensor on the stock harness you'll have to add the other 3 wires; my CX has a 4-wire O2 because it's a California car but all the rest have a 1-wire. And with the vtec wiring you can just run it from the plugs straight to the ecu and skip the shock tower mount plug. So the Si/EX harness isn't really essential at all. But I'm glad to help.
