I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

change of plans

Post by skirts92eg » August 12, 2003

well, some of you already know this but recently my 92 dx went from 4 cylinders to 3 leaving me with one option- MOTOR SWAP! I had planned on doing a swap when I bought this, but not this soon, but hell, now I have a reason ;) Anyway, to make a long story short, Saturday night I got bored ( there is never anything to do in STL ) and stripped everything out of the beast from behind the front seats.

I'm not 100% sure where I am going from here. Me and Eric (my boyfriend) are talking about me just getting a newer car and both dumping money into the hatch and just building the hell out of it. Orginal plans were for a d16 turbo charged, but now that we are both working on it we are thinking H22. Anybody has any sugesstions, let me know!

Oh yeah, and don't worry, I am still gonna go with the whole JDM style, just front seats up and a little on the outside :)

what I WOULD DO... personally.. gut the shit outta the car... put a built b18b with a turbo kit and RUN RUN RUN...

H22.. eh.. not my fav unless ur going 100% drag racing and never wanna street the car...

now if your keeping the car for urself as a daily driver.. gut the back... and b18b with a mild turbo setup.. if you dont have much money to build it that is.. b18b holds lots of boost.. strong engine.. and has good torque #'s.

As you can tell I am a boost junkie.. and I like the b18b for boost.. why use VTEC when you have BOOSTEC...

hehe..

to late, already tore everything outta there! Any way, what does being a girl have to do with anything here?? :?

And as far as b18 vs. h22... the only reason I was planning on going h22 is the fact that this car is no longer going to be a daily driven car what so ever. I am buying a new car and this one is becoming my "race car" if you will.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have mega bucks or anything like that, but I want to do it right, the first time. I figure it might take a while to get it where I want it, but no matter when I get it done if it is next month or 5 years from now I will be one damn proud eg owner...
