Does anyone know some easy cheap weight reduction tips for the 01 civic? I have a CF hood and that's about it. Just something to do I guess. Don't really care if it gets done. |

Depends how far you want to go, there are tons of things you can do for weight reduction thats free, but not all are the safest. -Remove sound deadening, tar on floor under carpet and in trunk, mat behind dash on inner firewall -Remove extra wiring, components like your speakers, head unit, HVAC, etc and all the wiring, etc that goes with them -Removing/Cutting/Shaving bumper beams -Removing seats, carpet, plastic panels, door panels (replace with aluminum sheets) -Removing windows mechanisms making windows permanently up (big weight there) |

Stand next to your car, hold the key horizontal, twist it. Now get into your car, start it, and drive around. Find a happy medium between these two extremes. |
