I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

I took it off and re-tightened the screw down...without reseting the ecu it did nothing...I have reset the ecu numerous times since this crap has started...and it seems like it does fine for a few minutes then just goes crazy....I am getting real inpatient with this thing.....I know you guys keep saying vacuum leak but I am not finding anything. I am going to try replacing the Throttle body gasket but I don't have the tools (a gasket cutter kit). I can improvise tho...ah well we will see what happens with it....cross your fingers....

Gasket cutter kit???? I just layed my old gasket on top of the gasket paper, traced, and cut with a razor blade. Sorry you're having so many issues man. Have you tried taking it back to AutoZone since you reset the ecu to see what codes its throwing now?

yea...still the p0505 and the P0132....Today, I reset the ECU and re-flashed the ECU with the Calibration from my computer. I started the car and let it idle. after about 5 min. it started surging again. I would think that a vacuum leak would cause the surge to happen all the time. Now I did see some kind of sensor on the back of the block but I am not sure what it is for. its just above the air box....Would the PCV valve have anything to do with this issue? cause I just saw on some diagrams that there is one on the breather housing....I had no idea there was one....

BTW, that "air box" i referred to is the air breather...it appears that there is some kind of sensor just above it, attached to some kind of vacuum hose...can't tell where it goes...

So the problems went away for a couple days then returned. Friday, me and a friend did some work on the car. We removed the TB and made sure the gasket/O-ring was intact (it was). I also tried installing a new fuel pump. But the one i had would not work with the vehicle. (car wouldn't run) So we put the old one back in and started the car, ran fine, 1500 Idle but no surging. I then saw that the hose that holds my Blow off valve was all cracked. I reved the car and no air came out of my BOV. I loosened the screw for the spring and got some good blow off air. car stayed idling. I drove home, pulled in the driveway and noticed along the way that while at stop signs the car would idle at normal range. got home let the car sit. drove to work the next day. Drove perfect, no surging or anything. Tuesday, left for work, car surged while I sat at the first red light, stopped for gas, added about 3 gal, started the car, idled 850. I just read a couple articles, and found my fuel pump that I bought for this new Turbo conversion. Saw that this particular pump needs a Fuel return system installed. I kept digging to see if there was a way around it. (i.e. getting a different fuel pump.) sure enough civicforums.com has alot of the 7th gen guys that had to go to this fuel return system for their turbo setups. I am beginning to think that maybe this old fuel pump is overworking, therefore needing a bigger fuel pump and this return system. What do you think?

Found some new Codes today...Multiple Misfire and misfire on 1, 3, & 4 cylinders.....After driving around for some time (car was warm) I noticed that my exhaust was still really cold...I could keep my hand on the muffler for a long time if i wished....So I am getting away from the Fuel pump and starting to think Spark plug Coils....Matt you could have been right on this....Ok So I am thinking it could be that or...could the fuel pump be pumping way to much fuel and therefore the the injectors are just dumping fuel into the cylinders and the Spark plugs cant burn it all off...Or if I need that return system like we talked about the fuel return isn't allowing enough to get thru (after Injectors) and its backing up.....I dont know....this is getting retarted..... :shoot: MY CAR :die: :banghead:

This is one scenario where a wideband would be useful. hint hint hint hint hint

Because of the misfires I'm still leaning toward something on the ignition end.

Yea...I am going to try to use a friends coils from his car....see if it follows or fixes it....again how would a wideband be useful? I mean do they adjust your fuel amounts as you go? Need a little more info....Stuff i can understand...MATTHEW>>>
