I think not. What's with these drift bandwagon noobs always referring to their shit-box 240's and beat ass corollas as race cars? Drifting is NOT racing. It's a show sport based on single/tandem runs, not timed laps.

Correct me if I'm wrong please.

*btw I have nothing against drifting and actually enjoy it.

Well, it is a motorsports competition.

I wouldn't define racing as a timed speed contest. If that were the case racing would end at qualifying. Racing requires that a driver be pitted against the other drivers on the same course starting at the same time (ignoring WRC). This forces the drivers to compete head to head, thus requiring them to complete the course in a manner different than that which may be the quickest manner.

I dunno, I drank a lot tonight.

That said, drifting is a competition in which, when doing tandem, a following driver has the ability to force the leading driver to cause an error, thus giving them the opportunity to pass and take the lead, and inevitably the win.

Does that make any fucking sense?

thats a good comareo koto.

as far as kids calling there shit box's race car thats retarded. i like to put my car in the "racecar" catagory not beacuse it will be "racing" but because its a fully built chassis, with everything being modifdy, with a full roll cage, seat harness's, fully custom wiring, and the fact its not legal to drive on the street. ya know.

niggers that call there 240 with a welded diff and some mesh rims race cars is obviously dumb

I'm no drifter...or racer....but can I just make a point?

If you haven't ripped your front or back bumper off, then you aren't a drifter....

....and not trying to drift your first time :-)

^^^ not only that, your tires. if you're "drifting" on the same set of tires for a few months then you're probably not going sideways long enough.

a drifter goes through tires like a fat kid goes through the candy aisle.

Why? It's not necessary to modify a car wildly to be a person who drifts.

Why? Why do you think it's necessary to drift into an apex, wrecking your car, to be a drifter. That's like saying you need to blow up your engine or tranny in order to be a dragger.

Why? If you'd read this thread(here), you'll find that many established amateur drifters can last through multiple events including street driving on the same set of tires.
