I had one of the originals back in the day. It really does work (and confirmed that my old 91 Civic STD was indeed slow) and could pull .86 G. |

It has an accelerometer built into it, and you tell it what your car weighs and based on how hard you accelerate vs. the known (gross) weight of the car, it figures out how much power you have. |
