I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

wow, you know it's the law right? Isn't that reason enough?

Even if it wasn't why wouldn't you wear it? It will save your life.

Isn't that one obvious?

Hey, its the law that you cannot swap engines in CA, or boost them if not CARB'd, etc. Isn't that good enough? People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

So why did he have to remove it shortly after getting pulled over and searching? Do you not remember the thread?

I actually have had physics. I'm actually proud of the education that I have received, and that I'm still pursuing. That's besides the point, however.

I understand the reasons for wearing them. I understand the consequences if I don't have it on, and I'm in an accident. I understand that it is the law. To put it simply, sometimes I choose not to wear it. Nothing said anywhere is going to change my mind. Maybe one day when I have a little one depending upon me I will put it on ALL of the time. One day something will come up that will make me wear it every time I get into the car. Until then...I will once in a while. I don't understand the big deal.

I wear mine for several reasons.

My dad would be dead 4 times now if he wasn't wearing his.

I have several friends who would be dead also had they not been wearing their seatbelt.

My family gets $0 compensation if I die in an auto wreck without my seatbelt on, same if I die on a motorcycle w/o helmet.

Good reason to wear it all of the time.

I had a best friend die due to his belt when he was 16. (yes it was on correctly)
Another was stuck inside a burning car, and thankfully rescue got there in time to remove him before anything bad happened.

I know the goods outweigh the bads. Just what was burnt into my memory.

First off, it is perfectly legal to swap engines in CA.

Second having a turbo engine doesn't compromise my life.

I wear my seatbelt because if I crash, I want to live. Having a turbo engine has nothing to do with my health.

Imagine your baby growing up without a dad because he did something stupid enough like not wearing a seatbelt....sit on that for awhile.

I think being here I have a greater chance of dieing than driving a couple miles a day stateside with out a seat belt. And i'm sure with that turbo kit of yours you were breaking a couple other laws, that did risk your life, and unlike my law breaking, risked others lives too. Bet you'd feel good when you go street racing with your turbo civic and kill some innocent kid riding his bike.
