I'm excited to announce that thejdm is now updated to the latest phpbb 3.2 software. You may notice the site is now mobile friendly but with the upgrade comes some hiccups. theGarage, theGallery, theArcade are no longer supported. In due time the developers should be working to release the modifications to work on the new software. #LetsMakeForumsGreatAgain

It's not like anyone is insulting your family members who are cops. They probably are good people and not just some asshole cops. But that doesn't mean the majority of them (cops) aren't exactly like everyone described. I mean think about it, there has to be a reason why so many people hate cops. It's not just people being pissed off because they got caught doing something they shouldn't.
very well put spoon.
i think we can leave it at that and get on with talking about other crap instead of gettin pised at each other over the computer.
very well put spoon.
I'll put it really simple... cops act differently in different places. Some of you don't understand how some of us can complain about cops, because apparently you don't have to deal with the kind of stuff the rest of us do. You don't understand what it's like to be followed or pulled over for literally NO reason at all, other than the cop wants to be a dick and has a problem with import car drivers. <- no BS, it really does happen. If it doesn't happen to you, then you're lucky as hell. I go the speed limit every time I'm in my car (I'll hit maybe 2mph over the limit), yet over the summer I was followed for 2 or 3 weeks in a row]
hehehehehe
thats usually when i pull over and see if they pull in behind me. if they do, i can't wait to ask them "Can i help you with something?"
hehehehehe
the new and slightly improved...don't piss me off, and i won't f#*k with you!!! *gggrrrr*
Let's move on from this topic. Obviously some people haven't had bad experiences with assholes with badges. I've had both good and bad experiences. We can change this thread to sharing of stories. I'll start...
Good story:
Underage party busted when I was in high school. I didn't drink because I got there roughly 15 minutes before it was busted, but my car was found parked within 1/4 of a mile from the party. Party was busted by state troopers. I was called out from the woods and questioned. I told the cop that I wasn't drinking at all. He didn't believe me ("When I was your age...underage party meant I didn't remember my name"). I was straight with him. Told him that if he would have given me 15 more minutes I would have been loaded. So he told me that he already called my mom to come out, but if I called his wife and explained to her why he didn't get to make a deposit in checking that he would tell my mom I wasn't drinking. I agreed. I called his wife at 245 in the morning, and he explained to my mom that I wasn't drinking. Let me off totally. Years later he attempts to pull over a drunk driver, guy runs, pulls over in town, shootout goes down, the cop is shot and killed. Example of a good cop and a dickhead that killed a good man.
Bad Stories:
Pulled over on US route 219 for doing 68 in a 65 on my way home from a bmx race. Pulled out of the car, searched, and car was torn apart and searched. 2.5 hours later I am let go with a ticket and no help to put everything back into my car (three days worth of clothes, tools, and extra parts)
Pulled over in Nanty Glo, PA for doing 41 in a 35 when I first bought my hatchback. It was a week old. Asked for insurance, etc. I told him how I didn't have an official card for my current car since it was just purchased, and that I was waiting for it (But I was covered. Insurance company faxed a letter). Wrote me up for 41 in a 35, no insurance, etc. Told me that when my card came to bring it down and he would drop it. Card came in, I took it down, ended up that the effective date was the day after I got my ticket even though I was covered. Needless to say that I fought it in court with more lawyers than OJ had, insurance company with me, and I lost. I didn't have proof at the time of the ticket. $365 fine, 3 month suspension, 6 mph over ticket, and I was followed every day through town after I got my license back. I was pulled over once every two weeks or so for stupid shit (license plate light was dim, etc.) I filed a complaint about police harrassment, and found out that the cop had complaints filed all over town. He lost his job and is now working at Home Depot. Every time I'm in there I make sure to ask him ridiculous questions. "Can you tell me where to find stainless steel rain gutter hardware?, etc." He was a dick, and could have been human like the state cop, but he was an asshole with a badge.
